Hiring authorities use the Job Order Template to create a profile of their company, the position, and the requirements for the position. Candidates can then access the posting by logging onto Careerboat.com and clicking the “Find a Job” section of the site. If a candidate is interested in learning more about the position or believes he or she meets the qualifications, they fill out and submit an on-line application. Employers will then be notified of interested candidates.
With the Option 1 – General Postings, Careerboat.com offers no pre-screening of candidates. Once a posting has run for 30 days, Careerboat.com will notify the hiring authority to give them the option of removing the posting from Careerboat.com, or renewing it for another 30 days for a fee of $100.00.
In addition, posts with an up-to date list of our open positions are promoted to jobseekers through many different networks:
- Job Flash emails distributed monthly to individuals in our database that includes over 14,000 marine industry candidates
- Social Media Flash Monday posts on BMG social media sites twice a month
- Posts on job boards of educational/ trade schools where they are viewed by students and alumni
